Kiwanis Honors Elkhart Fourth Graders for Improvement

One fourth-grade student from each Elkhart elementary school was honored by the Elkhart Noon Kiwanis during the service club's semi-annual Kiwanis K.i.D. Program Tuesday. The students, and their families, teachers, and principals, were treated to lunch at The Matterhorn. The students also received a K.i.D. (Knowledge is Dynamite) t-shirt, framed certificate, and K.i.D. pencils to share with their classmates.

The Kiwanis program recognizes students from area public and private schools who have shown significant improvement in attitude, academic achievement, and performance.
Students honored from Elkhart Community Schools, pictured at right, include, front row from left, Keshawn Davis of Beardsley, Makayla Denvir of Beck, Kaytlyn Neeley of Bristol, Andrew Lafferty of Cleveland, and Ana Luna of Daly.
