The CARES story is an inspiring example of hope. Good things happen when people who care about kids come together. Through small seeds of hope planted in the hearts of a few – some in a church, some in a service club – a dream to engage 1,000 caring adults who would volunteer to spend just 30 minutes once a week with a child at school was born.

The dream grew into a miracle as more than 2,000 adults representing over 200 different businesses, congregations, and service clubs have signed on to serve as CARES volunteers. Many heartwarming stories have resulted.

Although the CARES story is still unfolding, there is great hope for the future as we look with gratitude for what has already been created.
