Automation and advanced manufacturing techniques are decreasing manufacturing time to allow the engineers to unleash their imaginations with new designs. A new generation of engineers is needed use advanced systems such as 3D printing, robotics, and CNC manufacturing to their full potential. Students will employ these systems on various projects for hands-on engineering design experience.
• Hands-on, applied engineering experience
• Design, build, and troubleshoot automated systems
• Study advanced manufacturing processes and technologies
• Construct and manage large-scale projects from concept (robotics, manned hovercraft, drawbridge, maglev, etc.)
Students will be prepared to continue at a two or four-year post secondary institution in an engineering technology field, or move into positions in the manufacturing and industrial fields.
