Automation and advanced manufacturing techniques are both decreasing manufacturing time and allowing engineers to unleash their imagination. A new generation of engineers and technicians are needed to design, maintain, and use advanced systems such as 3D printing, robotics, and CNC manufacturing to their full potential. Students will employ these systems on various projects for hands-on engineering experience.
• Hands-on, applied engineering experience
• Design, build, and troubleshoot automated systems
• Study advanced manufacturing processes and technologies
• Construct and manage large-scale projects from concept (robotics, manned hovercraft, drawbridge, maglev, etc.)
Students will be prepared to continue at a two or four-year post secondary institution in an engineering technology field, or move into positions in the manufacturing and industrial fields.
