Memorial Chargers Volleyball

Coach’s Note

This season will mark the end of an era as Memorial Volleyball will come to a close; however, the tradition of excellence in the sport of volleyball in the city of Elkhart will certainly continue.  Our 2019 seniors including:  Alexis Curry, Jackie Fernandez, Olivia Gonsoski, Megan Huys, Kaitlin Presswood, and Margaret Wiegand are inspired as they begin to lead this team by drawing from the EMVB teams and players of the past and all of their great accomplishments.  Since last year,  EMVB spent the off-season doing what we love to do—playing competitive volleyball and getting better.  The off season was very productive for us, as we had a great majority of our athletes competing in other sports for the Chargers or playing on high level club volleyball teams.  And in many cases, our athletes did both.  In addition, we made the most of our time this summer with outstanding attendance at practices and another successful showing at our team camp–with our top team finishing strong among a highly competitive Purdue Team Camp.  We start this 2019 season with renewed excitement and focus set to continue the fine tradition of competing at the highest level as we’ve come to expect from EMVB teams.   All that being said, we are extremely anxious to get back on the floor to compete and represent Memorial Volleyball for the final time.
