Coach Weaver is entering his 20th year with the Charger Wrestling Program, and five year as head coach.
During his first fifteen years as an assistant and head assistant coach he helped train (4) Individual State Champions, (12) Northern Lakes Conference Team Championships, (11) Team Sectionals Championships, (8) Team Regional Championships, (2) Team Semi-State Championships and (2) State Qualifier Teams, Alongside of Jim Nicholson (Dual Record: 204-107-6) and Brian Seltzer (Dual Record: 195-31-0).
Since Coach Weaver took over as the head coach, the team has earned (2) Team Northern Lakes Conference Championships, (1) Team Sectional championship, (2) Team Regional Championships. Coach Weaver was named NLC Coach of the Year twice, and Elkhart Community High School Coach of the Year and his current dual record is 42-28-0 since he took over the program in 2014.
A native of Elkhart, Indiana, Weaver graduated Elkhart Memorial High School where he won the NIC twice, 2x Sectional Champ, 2x Regional Champ, and was a State Medalist for the Chargers he had a career record of 95-14 and held the record for Most Falls in a single season at 34 Falls in a single season, he held the record for 21 years, The record was broken in 2016-2017 by David Eli. After graduation, he pursued wrestling through USA and ISWA, earning state and national championships along with an Olympic tryout.
Currently Weaver is a full time employee of Heartland RV. He’s an engineer, specializing in the design of luxury high end 5th Wheels. He has been doing Engineering for seventeen years throughout the RV Industry.
Coach Weaver started the Charger Wrestling Club in 2013, coaching youth kids through high school kids teaching them how to wrestle Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman, along with coaching them in Off-Season tournaments, State and National Duals. For the last seven years, he has also coached youth football for the National Flag Football Association.
Weaver is married to Rose (Stoops) Weaver. They have three kids: daughter Sheila that has graduated Dental Assisting School and two sons Bailey who attends West Side Middle School and Brodey who attends Mary Feeser Elementary.
