Keep up to date with current news at Eastwood Elementary!
Eastwood’s PTA would like to wish all of our Wildcat families and staff a fun and relaxing summer break! Thank you again to all who have volunteered, and/or participated in fundraisers for this school year. We look forward to next school year, and will see you all then!
Eastwood Parent YouTube Channel Final Release!:
We are kicking off a series of 7 videos that highlight our amazing staff by releasing a collections of videos. On Monday, May 24th, we released video #6 featuring Kindergarten and 1st Grade staff. Today, we released the final video (#7) featuring Mild Interventions and ED staff. Check them out!
More videos will be released on the YouTube parent channel in the future, so be sure to subscribe to get notifications and be one of the first to see videos as they are released. From the Nurse:
With the end of the year quickly approaching, students who have any OTC/PRN medications in the nurse’s office will need to have those picked up by June 3rd. Parent pick-up is preferred over sending medications home w/students. If you have any questions, please call the office at 574-262-5583. Thank you!
Reminder that any required immunizations are due PRIOR to starting the next school year. Due to the success of the FREE mobile vaccination/immunization clinic, Elkhart Community Schools will be holding another one of these mobile clinics on July 27th. This will be available to any family that is in need of the state required immunizations for next year. More information will be provided as the date gets closer.
6th Grade Recognition:
This will take place on the soccer field at Eastwood on Tuesday, June 1st at 10:00am. Please remember to have your student bring a beach/bath towel to sit on, and a lawn/beach chair for any parents planning to attend. Further guidelines regarding photos were outlined in the papers that were sent home w/6th grade students earlier this week. Congratulations 6th grade class!
Quote of the Week:
“Kid, you’ll move mountains! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting. So. . . get on your way!
From The Principal:
This is it! Our last full week of school is ending. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to work with you and your child(ren) to complete this crazy, non-traditional year! It was a pleasure meeting and getting to know your children.
If you received paperwork for the Summer Jump Start Program, we need to hear from you by June 1st. I know that attending school in the summer is not optimal, but it is a great opportunity for your child to catch up on lost learning because of COVID and eLearning. We are focusing on skills needed to start the year successfully. If you did not receive paperwork but would like to enroll your child, please contact the office at 574-262-5583.
The 6th grade celebration will be held on June 1st at 10:00am on the soccer field. Parents, you should have received information via Seesaw from Mrs. Holderman and a notice was sent home with your student. Please follow the guidelines and restrictions listed. Thank you!
